Worldly Bias

If only that old Gershwin tune were true! The fact is, livin’ is far from easy … and that’s the way it will be until we get to heaven! “In this world, you will have tribulation,” Jesus said. And in this world, we will come face to face with those who oppose God’s truth … like Newsweek magazine and Richard Dawkins.

Attacking Creation and Design

In the May 29, 2006, issue of Newsweek, the editors chose one book out of thousands to bring to the attention of their readers – an anthology of essays against Intelligent Design. The magazine cited several so-called authorities who ridiculed those who believe in special creation. And that was it! No scientific argument. No opportunity for rebuttals. Just a propaganda piece attacking the position that the universe had a Designer.

One authority highlighted in the article was Richard Dawkins – a man who gets a lot of publicity presenting himself as an expert scientist on evolution, one who is qualified to decide for all of us whether evolution should be believed.

The truth is, Dawkins is a blatant crusader for atheism. This is clear from his frequent attacks on religion. For instance, this past January the BBC ran a television special – written and hosted by Dawkins – called “Root of All Evil?” Interestingly, one part of the two-part special was called “The God Delusion” and the other – “The Virus of Faith.” Millions watched Dawkins compare Moses to Hitler and Saddam Hussein … claim that religion equals child abuse … and call the New Testament “sado-masochistic doctrine.”

Shining Our Light

Because Newsweek and other mainstream media – as well as the government and our public schools – are so biased in favor of evolutionism, Creation Moments must keep on proclaiming the evidence for God’s truth. We must not put our light under a bushel, but instead let it shine forth through worldwide radio broadcasts, our publications, our bookstore, our speakers – through all of our resources.

We’re grateful that God has enabled us to reach so many people on a very small budget. But we know that magazines like Newsweek and TV specials like “Root of All Evil?” are reaching multitudes who desperately need to hear God’s truth. While creation and design are gaining ground in the hearts of many, there’s so much more we want to do … and we will do it as God provides!

That a small grassroots-supported ministry like Creation Moments can be so effective in stemming the onslaught of worldly powers is truly a wonderful sign of God’s grace. But we are up against a well-funded juggernaut of godless secularism.

Millions of folks need to see the nature and scope of what modern Christianity is really up against. And millions more need to be shown that the Bible is credible and can truly be trusted for what it says about our situation as people living in a sinful world and in need of a personal Savior!

Creation Moments needs you. We need your involvement, your prayers and your financial support. In a culture gone adrift, in a time when many churches and ministries are sliding down the slippery slope of relativism and compromise, Creation Moments is planting seeds for eternity and for God’s Kingdom which knows no end. Won’t you invest in treasures in heaven – in treasures which last … “where moth and rust do not corrupt and thieves cannot break through and steal”? (Matthew 6:20)
